The Purpose

This course is perfect for youth workers and those in multi-agency roles, including social workers, teachers, police officers, and other professionals engaging with young people. Through this programme, you’ll develop vital expertise in leadership, mental health, and professional practice, all while working alongside YG’s experienced team in a flexible, supportive environment.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to enable you to increase your knowledge and skills when working alongside young people. The qualification focuses on the importance of professional development at Level 4 and forging effective working relationships when working with young people.

The Logistics

At YG, we believe in learning that fits around you. With our friendly approach, expert guidance, and collaborative platform Padlet this qualification is more than a course—it’s a step toward a stronger connection with the young people who need you most.

In order to gain your qualification, there are 3 units to complete:

– Introduction to Professional Development -Youth Work A/650/4480
– Leadership and Management in Youth Work L/650/4495
– Mental Health and Wellbeing in Youth Work L/650/4502

The course allows for Teams drop-in support on a monthly basis with Young Gloucestershire tutors and assessors

The course will take approximately 7 months to complete.

All submitted assignments have feedback provided within 24 hours if submitted between Monday and Friday.

The total cost for this qualification is £900 (with the option to pay in 3 instalments of £300). Includes certification, and qualification assessment.

Padlet

As part of the Youth Work Level 4 Certificate, students will have the opportunity to utilise Padlet, an innovative online platform designed to enhance collaboration and information sharing. Padlet serves as a dynamic, virtual bulletin board where students can easily post and organise a variety of content, including text, links, images, videos, and documents. Its interactive nature allows users to contribute in real time, fostering an environment of collaborative learning. Whether students are brainstorming ideas, sharing resources, or working on group projects, Padlet offers a streamlined, user-friendly solution to help them engage more deeply with the curriculum.
